Betty Jane Ketterer, 90, of New Brighton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017. She was born February 1, 1927 in Chester, WV, daughter of the late Rudolph H. and Catherine (Hoey) Rombold.
Family was most important to Betty as she was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was both caring and resourceful, always making delicious baked goods, and sewing outfits for her own children as well as for others. Whenever Betty heard that someone was having a baby, she went right to work designing and making...

Betty Jane Ketterer, 90, of New Brighton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017. She was born February 1, 1927 in Chester, WV, daughter of the late Rudolph H. and Catherine (Hoey) Rombold.
Family was most important to Betty as she was a wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was both caring and resourceful, always making delicious baked goods, and sewing outfits for her own children as well as for others. Whenever Betty heard that someone was having a baby, she went right to work designing and making a special outfit. She was a woman of faith and member of the New Brighton Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and Alliance Women. She was also a former member of TOPS.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son: Gerald; her brothers: Ray, John and Rudy Rombold; and her sisters: Norma Jean Bruster, Phyllis Rombold and Catherine Teets.
Betty is survived by her loving husband: Andrew Ketterer; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Donald Ketterer, St. Petersburg, FL; Thomas (Lori) Ketterer, Rochester, PA; her daughter: Bonnie Ritter, Enterprise, AL; her daughter-in-law: Loretta Ketterer of Texas; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Norman (Lena) Rombold, New Brighton; one sister: Anna Mae Gallaher, Minnello, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum GPS 848 Sunflower Road). Her funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 in the funeral home with Rev. James J. Krouse, officiating. Private interment will be in the Garden of the Lilies at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
